Patriotism was on full display in Old City on Tuesday with the Historic District’s Red, White, & Blue To-Do Pomp & Parade. NBC10’s Yukare Nakayama was there for it all.

From Philadelphia to the suburbs to the Delaware beaches to the Jersey Shore, there are many different places to see a sparkling fireworks show to celebrate America’s birthday over the July 4th holiday week. Here’s the list.

NBC10’s Yukare Nakayama is in Philadelphia’s Old City neighborhood Tuesday as a patriotic parade inspired by Founding Father John Adams and featuring kids in floats takes place during the Wawa Welcome America Red, White & Blue To-Do.

Wawa Welcome America has been hosting numerous free events throughout the city. On Monday, many celebrated during the Gospel on Independence at the Independence Mall. NBC10’s Aaron Baskerville caught up with attendees on why they make it a point to celebrate this tradition.

Philadelphia residents are gearing up to celebrate the 4th of July with the annual Wawa Welcome America concert. With just three days to go, the stage is being set for the free party on the Parkway. Monday was also the 150th anniversary of the Philadelphia Zoo. WWA marked the big milestone with free food for people who went to celebrate....

The biggest July 4th party in Philadelphia in the summer of 2024 takes over the Benjamin Franklin Parkway with a concert headlined by popstar Kesha and R&B star NE-YO before a fantastic fireworks show to wrap up 16 days of free Wawa Welcome America fun.

The Philadelphia Zoo is celebrating its 150th anniversary! NBC10’s Karen Hua has the details on the free event!

From the peacocks to the history to the balloon and much more, you can join in on the birthday fun Monday as the Philadelphia Zoo celebrates its 150th anniversary. NBC10’s Matt DeLucia’s report Monday morning is for the birds, literally.

Concert attendees got to enjoy fireworks after the US Army Band’s “Pershing’s Own” performed at Penn’s Landing on Saturday. NBC10’s Yukare Nakayama reports. 

Hundreds showed up to the Dell Music Center in Fairmount Park to enjoy the Black Music Month Concert and fireworks show as part of Wawa Welcome America on Friday night. NBC10’s Brian Sheehan was there and has more on the festivities.

Two signature Wawa Welcome America events were held Thursday including Rocky Movie night on the art museum steps which people didn’t want to miss out on. NBC10’s Aaron Baskerville was there and gives us a look at what those that went got to partake in.

25,000 sandwiches were assembled for Wawa Hoagie Day and served to people in Philadelphia, with a large portion of them donated to Philabundance. NBC10’s Miguel Martinez-Valle shares more from the event and what’s to come with Rocky movie night at the art museum.

NBC10’s Brenna Weick tries her hand at making hoagies for Wawa hoagie day! The event, part of Wawa Welcome America will provide 15,000 free hoagies during the annual tradition.

Severe weather threats forced Wawa Welcome America organizers to postpone Rocky movie night to Thursday. The movie will begin at 8 p.m. on the Art Museum steps. Wawa hoagie day will also take place tomorrow.

Fans of the iconic movie Rocky can once again enjoy a free screening of the timeless film on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

A talented musician from Upper Darby is getting the chance to show off his skills at the Salute to Independence Parade on July 4 for Wawa Welcome America. He will be the first solo saxophonist to perform at the parade. NBC10’s Yukare Nakayama shares his story.
